What is a computer?

There are three basic characteristics of a computer:

1. A computer is completely electronic.

2. A computer can remember information and store it.

3. A computer must have an automatic program, it does the tasks which we tell it to do.

A computer is a machine that can take in data, store it, perform reasonable operations and put out information.
