to execute - to do or to perform smth, esp. in a planned way

Although the original idea was good, it was executed with a disappointing result.

to remain - to stay in the same place or in the same condition

The doctor ordered him to remain in bed. It remains a secret.

regardless - despite

The plan for the new office tower went ahead regardless of local opposition.

to fetch - to go to another place to get smth/ someone) before bringing it back

Could you fetch me my glasses from the other room, please. I'm just going to fetch my mother from the station.

to involve - to include

The second accident involved two cars and a lorry.

to determine - to find out or make certain (facts and information); to decide

The police never actually determined the cause of death. It is difficult to determine whether global warming is occurring. The people who live in this area should be allowed to determine their own future.

to identify - to establish the identity of, to treat as identical

He stood and watched the plane flashing by trying to identify them. In economics an issue is analyzed in five steps: state the problem, apply the relevant economic model, identify solutions, evaluate solutions, and choose and implement solutions. Many scholars tend to identify the scope of bioethics in a narrow medical sense.

cause (n., v.) (to be) the reason why smth happened

She has been the cause of all my troubles. The difficult driving conditions caused several accidents.

issue - a subject or problem which people are thinking and talking about; question, point

She has changed her mind on many issues, including education. The group had prepared a report on the issue of management and staff training.

request (n., v.) - an act of asking, a polite demand for something

They received hundreds of requests for more information. We requested that the next meeting be held on Monday.

to handle - to deal with; to operate or control

Some people are brilliant with computers, but have no idea how to handle other people. Have you ever handled a gun before?

to consider - to spend time thinking or making a decision, to give attention, to care about

The director has arranged the meeting to consider the problem. You've got to consider the time factor when planning the whole project. She never considers anyone else - she's totally selfish.

to facilitate - to make possible or easier

The current structure does not facilitate efficient work flow. The new ramp will facilitate the entry of wheelchairs.

to behave - to do things that are good, bad, sensible, etc.; to act correctly; to react in that way because of the laws of science

He is a little boy, but he behaves as it he was an adult. You behaved like a complete idiot. Mum is always telling us to behave when we go out. Quantum mechanics is the study of the way atoms behave.

behaviour - way of acting; actions; etiquette; the things that a person or animal does

Can TV violence cause aggressive behaviour? Scientists are studying the behaviour of the new gas. The headmaster will not tolerate bad behaviour.

simultaneously - at the same time

Two children answered he teacher's question simultaneously.
