There is a range of different types of transport available to us; the type we choose to use will depend on the purpose of travelling, length of the journey and anyone you may be travelling with. Thousands of people travel every day either on business or for pleasure. One can travel by air, by rail, by sea or by road. They have various means of transport, for instance, bicycles, motorcycles, motor-cars, boats, ships, helicopters at their disposal.
Most people use cars daily for short and long journeys. Cars have many advantages such as their ease of use and convenience. You can get exactly where you want to be without additional buses, trains or walking.
If you need to get to any place of the world in a short time, you should choose plane. Travelling by air is the fastest and the most convenient way of travelling, but it is the most expensive one.
Most people prefer travelling by train, as it is cheaper and more convenient. Travelling by train is slower than by plain, but it has its advantages. Modern trains have very comfortable seats. There are also sleeping cars and dining cars, which make even the longest journey enjoyable. Rail transport is used for both goods and people and is a popular means of public transport. Many towns have a train station. But in some cases it is difficult to get to some destinations by train and will require further transportation by bus or taxi.
Everyone knows the speed of sea liners is much slower than that of plains, but on board a ship there are all facilities to enjoy your trip: tennis and badminton grounds, swimming pools, cinema and dancing halls.
