Ex. 18. Imagine Ihat you are talking to your friend. You havt the same ideas, tastes, circumstances etc. as your friend. Use So...or Neither....

Example: - I'm very busy. - So am I.

Ex. 19. Imagine that you are talking to.someone about Richard (see Text B). You have the same ideas, tastes, intentions etc. as Richard. Use So... or Neither....

3. He is about to graduate from university.


 

4. He has taken a special computer course.

5. Each day he reads the jobs section.

Ex. 20. Choose the right word, adjective or adverb. Comment on the sentences that are true for you.

Example: The dinner smells £ < wrf/well, Drive сакЫ/carefully.

Ex. 21. Imagine that you are talking to your friend who Tailed the interview. Say what you think he should have done not to fail. Use Text Л for ideas. Start with the sug­gested statements.

1. You should have assessed your interests better.

2. You should have studied the job market more seriously.

3. You should have visited job centres.

Ex. 22. a) Read the conversation, b) Say whether the same is true for any of your class­mates.

Teachers compare their students' work and exam results. Now they are lalk-ing about Mary.

A.: Last year Mary passed her exams with satisfactory results. This year she passed the exams with a very good result.

B: 'That's true. She must have worked hard this term. She must have taken additional classes.

C.: She must have read a lot of supplementaiy literature; her friends must, have helped her.

D.: She must have stopped missing classes. She musl have started doing home­work.
