(The Russian word блюдо may be translated into English as dish or course, depending on its meaning. Dish may mean: 1) a large plate — блюдо (часть сервиза ), or 2) a particular kind of food, e. g. A vegetable dish овощное блюдо. Course блюдо means each of the successive divisions of a meal, e. g. A dinner of three courses — обед из трех блюд ).
