Edinburgh
Edinburgh is the capital of Scotland and its second-largest city. It has been the capital of Scotland since 1437. The Old Town and New Town districts of Edinburgh were listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1995. Edinburgh is well-known for the annual Edinburgh Festival, actually a collection of independent festivals. The most famous of these events are the Edinburgh Fringe (the largest performing arts festival in the world), the Edinburgh International Festival, the Edinburgh Military Tattoo, and the Edinburgh International Film Festival. Another famous event is the Hogmanay street party.
The city is one of Europe's major tourist destinations, attracting about 13 million visitors a year, and is the second most visited tourist destination in the United Kingdom, after London.

London

London is the capital city of England and the United Kingdom. London is today one of the world's most important business and financial centres, and thanks to its involvement in politics, culture, education, entertainment, media, fashion, sport and the arts has the status as one of the key global cities.
London is the most populous city in the European Union. Its population is very cosmopolitan, belonging to different cultures and religions, speaking over 300 languages. London is an international transport hub, with five international airports and a large port. It serves as the largest aviation hub in the world, and its principal airport, Heathrow, carries more international passengers than any other.
London is a major tourist destination – with such landmarks as the Houses of Parliament, Tower Bridge, the Tower of London, Westminster Abbey, Buckingham Palace and the London Eye among its many attractions, along with famous institutions such as the British Museum and the National Gallery.
The city of London has a population of about 7, 556, 900 and covers about 1 square mile, Greater London covers 609 square miles.

Belfast

Belfast is a city in the United Kingdom and the capital of Northern Ireland. It is the largest city in Northern Ireland. The population within the city limits is 276, 459, while 579, 276 people live in the Greater Belfast area (the Belfast Metropolitan Urban Area). It has been the scene of various episodes of conflict between its Roman Catholic and Protestant populations. Today, Belfast is much more calm, it is a centre for linen and shipbuilding industry, as well as the arts, higher education and business, a legal centre, and is the economic engine of Northern Ireland.
Cardiff

Cardiff is the capital of Wales and its largest city. It was a small town until the early nineteenth century and came to prominence following the arrival of industry in the region and the use of Cardiff as a major port for the transport of coal. Cardiff was made a city in 1905 and proclaimed capital of Wales in 1955. The population of Cardiff is around 319, 700, making it the 16th largest settlement in the United Kingdom.
