Using the Japanese PRC and PRD ECUs in a US vehicle.

These ECUs switch the fuel pump from a different pin than the US vehicles. The PRC and PRD ECUs use pin E10. The US ECUs use pin E1. Solder a wire across J160 on the underside of the board near the E connector, which will enable both pins for fuel pump operation. R600 and R601 resistors used on the PRB ECU for fuel tank pressure sensor. They are not present on the PRC ECU. For the PRC ECU switch off OBD II. This will disable the fuel tank pressure sensor error you will get using the PRC ECU.

There must be a gap of at least 3mm around the USB connector to prevent shorting the USB connector to the ECU case. Normally this is not a problem, but with K-Series engines, especially with engine swaps or situations where the intake manifold has been removed, it is important to ensure there is a good ground connection between the ECU and the cylinder head / engine block. We have determined that the stock mounting location is not ideal and that the valve cover bolt is a better location. For added protection, place insulating tape on the ECU case where the USB slot has been cut.
