Translate the sentences into English using the key terms given in the unit.






1. Міжнародна торгівля сприяє глобалізації світової економіки.

2. СОТ – це єдина міжнародна установа, що створює правила ведення торгівлі та залагоджує торговельні суперечки.

3. Угоди СОТ запроваджують юридичну базу для міжнародної торгівлі.

4. За відсутності зовнішньої торгівлі ціни на внутрішньому ринку залежатимуть від попиту та пропозиції в межах країни.

5. Тарифи зумовлюють підвищення цін на внутрішньому ринку та зменшення кількості проданих товарів.

6. Квоти обмежують імпорт, надаючи можливість вітчизняним виробникам підвищувати ринкові ціни.

7. Угоди зобов’язують країни підтримувати їхню торговельну політику у межах домовленості.

Adverbs-position of

14. Adverbs can go in three positions, depending on their type.

1. At the beginning of the clause:

connecting adverbs, e.g. anyway, but, however

Anyway, I arrived on time.

adverbs of time, e.g. yesterday, last week.

Yesterday I had a meeting with the bank manager.

Adverbs of time can also go at the end of a clause.

We went to Paris last Monday.

2. In the middle of the clause:

adverbs of frequency, e.g. often, sometimes, never

adverbs of certainty, e.g. probably, certainly, surely

adverbs of completeness, e.g. almost, nearly, completely.

These adverbs go between the subject and the verb,

I often work late.

or between the auxiliary and the verb / past participle,

He's definitely gone home.

or after the verb to be in the present and past.

She is sometimes late for work.

3. At the end of the clause:

adverbs of manner, e.g. quickly, unwillingly, bravely

He finished his lunch very quickly.

adverbs of place, e.g. outside, upstairs, on top

She didn't want to go outside.

adverbs of time, e.g. later, tomorrow morning, now

I'll see you later.

adverbs of frequency made up of two or more words, e.g. every day, three times a month, once a week.

They went swimming twice a week.

15. Put the adverbs in the right place in the sentences.

 

1. I will be able to get it cheaper (probably).

2. I have had an illness in my life (never).

3. I remember buying some paper (definitely).

4. We are going to win (definitely).

5. Sam complains about his salary (often).

6. I felt relaxed (completely).
