Recharging operation

• Usi ng the pocket tester, check the battery voltage. I f the

voltage read i ng is less tha n the 12.0V (DC), recha rge the battery with a battery charger.

CAUTION:

When recharging the battery, remove the battery from the motorcycle.

NOTE:

Do not remove the stoppers on the battery top while recharging.

Recharging time: 4A for one hour or 0.9A for 5 hours

CAUTION:

Be careful not to permit the charging current to exceed 4A at any time.

• After recha rg i ng, wa it for more tha n 30 m i n utes a nd check the battery voltage with a pocket tester.

• I f the battery voltage is less tha n the 12.5V, recharge the battery aga i n.

• I f battery voltage is sti l l less t ha n 12.5V, af ter recha rgi ng, replace the battery with a new one.

• When a battery is left for a long term without usi ng, it is su bject to d ischa rge. When the motorcycle is not used for more tha n 1 month (especia l ly d u ri ng t he wi nter season), recha rge the battery once a month at least.
