Design Elements






At completion of the final drawings a copy of the AutoCAD version of the drawing set shall be mailed to Northrop Grumman prior to final acceptance. Subcontractor shall also include in the pricing, delivery, by express mail 2 full set of 24” x 36” printed black and white 35% Designs, Specificaitons, Design Analysis, 65% designs and 95% designs to Northrop Grumman at the following address:

Design submission at each stage will not be considered complete until the 24” x 36” printed drawings are received by Northrop Grumman.

 

NG Instructions: All drawings should have a title block. The Title block should show only notes that apply to the drawing shown inside the title block. Title block should define the drawing field as civil, architectural, structural, mechanical/plumbing or electrical. A revision block should be placed in the title block showing the revision number, date, checked by column for version control. The title block should provide a signature block for designed by, drawn by, approved by and status. The title block should clearly show what stage of design 35%, 65% or 95% designs. Title Block shall have a project title. Title block shall show Team CNGS and provide the team CNGS logo labeled as Contractor. Designers title block Title Block will show CNTPO as the Client. Drawing shall have a block for a signed sealed stamp from the designer of record.

 

The Subcontractor shall be responsible for the performance of any optional characteristics listed below, as specified by the Government:

 

A 35% design with a Site Master plan exists and shall be used to continue the 65%, 95% and As-Built drawings.

 

A) The Subcontractor shall be responsible for the technical accuracy, safety, and coordination of all designs, drawings, specifications and other non-construction services furnished by the Subcontractor.

B) The Subcontractor’s design shall meet or exceed the current IBC requirements and/or any local standards.

C) The Subcontractor shall be required to prepare, and keep accurate and up to date all necessary working (on-site) drawings for building construction, site construction and utility upgrades.

D) The Subcontractor shall conduct, document, and deliver to Northrop Grumman (CDRL A00G) an Existing Site Survey and Analysis (topographical maps, structures, utilities, etc.) prior to the commencement of any work at the site to be approved by the KO/COR/COTR.

E) The following are general requirements that apply to all structures built under this T/O.

 

· The Subcontractor shall ensure that plans, specifications and other project information is provided and is complete upon presentation to the US Government.

· The Subcontractor shall ensure that the project is designed by approved persons when required, and has required approvals.

· The Subcontractor shall ensure that design calculations are submitted in support of structural designs. Currently the 35% design of the boat ramp has been approved by the USG. If the subcontractor presents a change to the design then this requirement will apply.

· The Subcontractor shall ensure that alternative materials and methods of construction which are not specified by the building code are listed by an approved standard and approved by the Senegles Authroity if applicable.

· The Subcontractor shall ensure that estimated project valuations are consistent with industry norms.

· The Subcontractor shall ensure that project information is provided and is adequate. Ensure that the project is designed by approved persons when required, and has required approvals.

· The Subcontractor shall ensure that products not detailed in the building code are approved by the Seneglese building official and installed according to their listing. In this case meeting the approval of the end user the Seneglese Navy.

· The Subcontractor shall perform any necessary site hydrographic and geophysical surveys of the submerged area and the topographic and geotechnical survey for the overland area as required for the installation of the boat ramp.

· This plan shall show all current buildings, roads, utilities, as well as all planned construction options indicated in this PWS.

· The survey shall be updated and maintained with on-sight copies for review as required throughout the period of performance.

· If a conflict arises, the Subcontractor shall contact the Contracting Officer/COR/COTR for guidance. The Contracting Officer/COR/COTR will approve all plans, design documents, and drawings before construction begins.
