The “Must Attend” Food and Beverage Events 2009

There are several events throughout the country that are great events to learn from, but these are the food and beverage must attend events. Not only are these events designed for the food and beverage community but they are a food and beverage dream. From outstanding events in the cooking world to first class wine events to the ultimate in beer parties these events are absolute musts and the cream of the crop! If you intend on a career in food and beverage you need to attend each and every one of these events at least once in your life, what am I saying, attend them once and you'll be back year after year!

Don’t miss the most exciting professional culinary event in the US this year – a three-day culinary symposium where 60 of the world’s most influential and innovative chefs, pastry chefs, mixologists, and sommeliers present the latest techniques and culinary concepts to their peers.

Attend chef demonstrations, hands-on chef, pastry and mixology workshops, career counseling sessions, wine seminars, business seminars, and expert panels on current industry topics. Source cutting-edge culinary products and equipment from around the world at the Chef Products Fair.

Starchefs.com’s International Chefs Conference

This year’s Starchefs.com’s International Chefs Conference “A Kitchen Without Boundaries” (September 20 - 22, 2009 New York City) was an extraordinary event. The three day event brought together some of the most talented and influential Chefs, Pastry Chefs, Sommeliers, Mixologists and Restaurateurs in the business.

The atmosphere and the program were wonderfully organized and set up to create an intimate experience with leaders in the industry. There was a wide range of topics in the workshops (Savory, Pastry, Mixology, and Tasting) and all were limited in size to allow for personal exchanges with the presenters. How often do you get a chance to ask Chef Anthony Bourdain what he feels is the next hot restaurant concept? When could you ever get the opportunity to see Iron Chef Masaharu Morimoto off the show and see his unguarded humorous side? When can you ever get an opportunity to make chocolate with Chef Jacques Torres, stuff sausage with Chef Brian Polcyn, learn Sous Vide cooking alongside of Chef Michel Richard or drink remarkable wines with Steve Olson? When do you ever get the chance to get the take on the business from such Chefs as Charlie Trotter, Heston Blumenthal, Marcus Samuelson, Wylie Dufresne, and Daniel Boulud? Not very often I assure you! These names along with some 50 others together at one event over three days were unforgettable!
