Computer and internet isolates people and unites

While time spent online can be hugely productive, compulsive Internet use can interfere with daily life, work, and relationships. When you feel more comfortable with your online friends than your real ones, or you can’t stop yourself from playing games, gambling, or compulsively checking your smartphone, tablet, or other mobile device—even when it has negative consequences in your life—then you may be using the Internet too much. Computer is an incredibly useful tool and can help you in doing homework and finding information in internet, but excessive usage of internet is very harmful not only for eyes, but also for mental activity- people spending too much time on line can’t normally live in reality- people get shy and embarrassed in real communication. It’ s much easier to talk online-u don’t see the partner. An addict can’t tell the difference between real life and virtual one. Such a person indulges in this hazardous habit playing computer games days and nights and noticing nothing around. Children particularly tend to become extremely addicted to this kind of activity. It takes them to realms of dreams which can seem much more amusing than real life where they are bound by boring restrictions. People now send messages instead of talking to each other in reality. Parents should use special computer programs that would control websites and the time of using a computer so parents should ration the time which their offspring devote to computer games. Otherwise they will be totally unadapted to the uncertainties of real life and won’t develop into full-fledged members of society. So, as the saying goes “Fun is fun, but there’s the job waiting”.

The Internet has already entered our ordinary life. Everybody knows that Internet is a network connecting many computer networks and based on a common addressing system and communications protocol.

From its creation in 1983 it grew rapidly beyond its largely academic origin into an increasingly commercial and popular medium. By the mid-1990s the Internet has already connected millions of computers throughout the world.

The Internet had its origin in a U. S. Department of Defense program established to provide a secure and survivable communications network for organizations engaged in defense-related research. Researchers and academics in other fields began to make use of the network.

Amateur radio, cable television wires, spread spectrum radio, satellite, and fibre optics all have been used to deliver Internet services. Networked games, networked monetary transactions, and virtual museums are among applications being developed that both extend the network's utility and test the limits of its technology.

Nowadays the most popular Internet service is e-mail. Electronic mail - E-MAIL, are messages transmitted and received by digital computers through a network. An E-mail, system allows computer users on a network to send text, graphics, and sometimes sounds and animated images to other users. Recipients can elect to view, print, save, edit, answer, or otherwise react to communications. Large corporations and institutions use E-mail systems as an important communication link among employees and other people allowed on their networks. E-mail is also available on major public on-line and bulletin board systems, many of which maintain free or low-cost global communication networks.

No one can deny the importance of the Internet. Sitting in front of a computer, clicking a mouse, you can shop, download many interesting films, books, read news about subject which is interesting for you, play computer games with other players, chat and send mails to your friends.

14. Habit of reading is rejected by teenagers. Importance of reading. Can a book change your lfe?

In our century of technologies we got lost in the world of TV and Internet and follow the line of least resistance and live in realms of dreams.

It stand to reason, that reading can add much to our personality, changing even a beachcomber who comes into the house and just flop down in front of TV into a broad-minded, capable and industrious individual. Books teach to be sympathetic, bring out our individuality and develop our self-confidence as we get much from them. Some people read books for the ideas and knowledge they contain, others for entertainment. Some books linger in our mind and after reading we are pondering over the plot.

From a very young age, many are exposed to literature in the most stripped down form: picture books and simple texts that are mainly for the purpose of teaching the alphabet etc. It is the first step that many take towards the literary world. Progressively, as people grow older, they explore other genres of books, ones that propel them towards curiosity of the subject, and the overall book. Reading and being given the keys to the literature world prepares individuals from an early age to discover the true importance of literature: being able to comprehend and understand situations from many perspectives.

With the ability to see the world with a pair of fresh eyes, it triggers the reader to reflect upon their own lives. Reading may teach people morals and encourage them to practice good judgement. This can be proven through public school systems, where the books that are emphasized the most tend to have a moral-teaching purpose behind the story. An example would be William Shakespeare’s plays, where each one is meant to be reflective of human nature – both the good and bad.

Literature is of great importance and is studied upon as it provides the ability to connect human relationships, and define what is right and what is wrong. Therefore, words are alive more than ever before.
