My brother has worked abroad.






I've been to London. NOT I've been to London last year

For regular verbs the past participle is the same as the past simple (+ ed).

We often use the present perfect with ever (= in your life until now), never, just, already, yet

Have you ever been to London? No, I've never been there.

Have you worked in a bank? Yes, I have. No, I haven't.

Has he been to London? Yes, he has. No, he hasn't.

 

1. You are writing a letter to a friend. In the letter you give news about yourself and other people. Use the words Ex given to make sentences. Use the present perfect.

Dear Chris,

Lots of things have happened since I last wrote to you.

1. I/buy/a new car

I've bought a new car.

Ex.3 Complete B’s sentences. Use the verb in brackets + just/already/yet (as shown).

Ex.6 Complete B’s answers. Some sentences are positive and some negative.
