1. It borders on Canada in the north and Mexico in the south.

2. This country is surrounded by the shallow waters of the Irish Sea and the North Sea, the Norwegian Sea, the North Channel and the Atlantic Ocean.

Most of the country have a humid subtropical climate with hot summers and cold winters.  
Summers are hot and very damp in this region and rainfall decreases to the east as a result of the rain shadow created by the West Pacific range and the Sierra Nevada.  
The Atlantic coast is almost rainless in summer, although there is often rainy winter there is frequent sunny spells, but the climate remains generally warm and dry, especially in Florida.  
The western part of the country is moderately rainy.  
During the summer there are a change of the air masses, and west of the Rockies the change resembles the summer monsoon of Southeast Asia.
