Ex.11 Read and translate the Mobile phone etiquette.

Almost everywhere you look you will find someone talking, texting, or playing games on their mobile phone. Cell phones have invaded our classrooms and our bedrooms, our restaurants and our theaters, our offices and our streets. Mobile phones now ring at weddings and funerals, job interviews and surgical procedures. No event is immune. Are we using them too much?

Please keep phone conversations to yourself!

What is etiquette? It's really nothing more than a set of rules we all agree to follow in order to be considerate toward others. We follow them as our contribution to the kind of society we want to live in. Here are basic rules of cell phone etiquette.

1Lower your voice when taking calls in public. 2Avoid personal topics when others can hear you. 3Avoid taking calls when you're already engaged in a face-to-face conversation. 4If you do take a call, ask permission of the people with you. 5Avoid texting during a face-to-face conversation. 6Put your phone's ringer on " silent" in theaters and restaurants. 7Don't light up your phone's screen in a dark theater. 8Hang up and drive.
