Вопросы в косвенной речи.
Indirect questions.
Для того, чтобы перевести вопросительные предложения в косвенную речь, необходимо выполнить следующие шаги:
1. - для общих вопросов следует поставить связующее «ли» - if (или whether) после
глаголов, вводящих косвенный вопрос.
- для специальных вопросов оставить вопросительное слово исходного вопроса.
She asked if (whether) we had seen the film.
He wondered what I was doing.
2. превратить исходное вопросительное предложение в повествовательное
(подлежащее + сказуемое):
Is he a student? -> He is a student.
Does he live here? -> He lives here.
3. применить правило согласования времён:
He is … -> He was …
She can … -> She could … etc.
4. изменить по смыслу местоимения, определения и обстоятельства:
here -> there; tonight -> that night; etc.
