I am finishing school now and I must choose my future job. 2) There are many interesting professions but as for me the best one is to be a journalist. 3) It requires plenty of contacts with people and I like it a lot because I am a very sociable person and I can find a common language with anyone. 4) Journalists make reports and write articles and I think it's great. 5) Another advantage of this job is that journalists often meet and interview interesting and famous people, visit new places and have a meaningful life that is rich in impressions. 6) They always know new information and share it with people. 7) My father said that it was a dirty job because of the great amount of false and useless information nowadays in our press and on television. 8) I don't agree because every job has bad professionals as well as good ones. 9) To be a good journalist, I should be a well-educated and broad-minded person. 10) So I should read a lot of books and be sure that I'm good at writing. 11) I must enter university and study hard there. 12) As for my plans, I'm going to prepare seriously for entrance exams and study hard at university. 13) And I'm going to try and find a job at some local newspaper. 14) I hope I'll have a success in the field of journalism

1) All hving organisms need nutrition and water to live. 2) Nowadays food has become really easier to prepare and this has completely changed our lives. 3) We are now more con­scious about what we eat. 4) Thanks to new technologies we have learned how to prepare food faster and now we have more variety in what we eat. 5) We live in a time that has brought many changes to the ideas of what is good and what is bad for our health. 6) It seems everyone thinks about all these new organic and low-fat foods. 7) Our lives are fast and we are constantly searching for new ways to save our time. 8) And food is not an exception — we have developed technologies for fast preparation of food like a microwave oven in order to increase our produc­tivity. 9) This device has completely changed the way we cook our food. 10) Food plays an important role in my life as one of the links binding the members of my family together. 11) We have a tradition to gather for Sunday dinner, and food is a great part of this tradition! 12) Nations and countries often bring as­sociations with specific foods. 13) For example, many people associate Japan with sushi. 14) Methods of cooking and kinds of food may be different in different regions of the same country. 15) And vice versa, the culture of the nation or the country where a person grew up plays a significant role in their preferences. 16) Like the Japanese, who eat much fish, rice and vegetables and little meat compared to Europeans. 17) I can cook; and if we have a party or when my mother has no time, I certainly help her with the preparations. 18) Our meals are similar to those in most Ukrainian families. 19) Nothing special. 20) I think food cooked at home is healthier than that in a cafe. 21) I don't " like cooking myself, but thanks to my mother and granny we always have something to eat at home. 22) But when it comes to a special event I go to a cafe with a great pleasure
