Probably the first thing that comes to your mind is the load weight. That is actually a misconception most people have. In fact, according to the most recent statistic, most accidents happen with lightweight loads (load under 1000 kg). Heavy load does not always mean risker.

The quality of the lifting equipment plays a huge role in safe lifting. Pick the correct lifting equipment to use. Make sure to read all labels carefully and follow all the instructions strictly. More expensive equipment does not mean safer. More complicated rigging hardware can be hard to assemble and causing assembly errors.
