1. Представьте, что вам предстоит проводить свою первую консультационную сессию и вы сами можете выбрать, в каких условиях она будет проходить. Как бы вы подготовили помещение и как бы провели первые 10 минут с предполагаемым клиентом? Сделайте заметки и рисунки на эту тему, поделитесь своими идеями с другими учащимися.

2. Какие типы людей более привлекательны для вас? С какими людьми вам наиболее трудно общаться? В группах по три человека разыграйте 15-минутную сессию с таким трудным клиентом. Проследите за своими вербальными и невербальными действиями. Расскажите вашему клиенту и наблюдателю, что вы заметили, а затем послушайте их рассказ о том, что они наблюдали.

3. Что бы вы могли сделать, чтобы стать более привлекательным (приятным) для вашего клиента? Обсудите свои предложения с однокурсниками в открытой дискуссии. Отличается ли список идей, составленный группой, от списка Барбары Окунь? Чем? Какие пункты вы считаете наиболее значимыми для того, чтобы стать эффективным консультантом?

4. В группах по четыре человека обсудите стратегии, которые вы могли бы применить, чтобы помочь клиенту с нереалистичными целями изменить ожидания, касающиеся консультирования. Пусть в вашей дискуссии каждый член группы изобразит особый тип нереалистичного клиента. Заметьте, как ваши ответы изменяются в различных ситуациях.

5. Каким стало ваше отношение к профессии консультанта сейчас, после того как вы получили некоторое представление о начале процесса консультирования? Обсудите свои чувства и мысли с другими учащимися. Насколько существенно ваши нынешние представления и мысли отличаются от тех, которые были у вас в начале занятий? Чем именно?
