The cylinder head nut must be loosened little by little in the descending order of the numbers cast out on the cylinder head face.

NOTE:

For assembl y and disassembly procedure, refer to the de­ scription on page 32.

• Remove the fail safe switch CD. (one place)

• Remove the cylinder head side cap ®· (three places)

NOTE:

For disassembly and assembly of exhaust side rocker arm, refer to GSF400 Service Manual.

• Loosen the sub rocker arm adjust screw.

• Turn the sub rocker arm shaft counterclockwise all the way.

• Slide the sub rocker arms @ and @ toward the spring.

I A CAUTION I

* Care must be taken at this time because inserting the pin too deep will cause the rocker shaft to be unable to turn and the pin not to come off.

* Insert the pin into the smaller hole of the two pin
